Sculptured Hand Painted Mirrors

Hawaiian artist Pahoa, and Small Planet Studios, have worked together to create a tropical Hawaiian line of wall art. Pahoa expresses his love for his islands and his heritage, by honoring the highest concentration of beautiful flowers on earth. Pahoa’s floral mirror sculptures include a Bird of Paradise, Plumeria, Hibiscus, Ginger, and Anthuerium & Heliconia.

The frames are cast in molds taken from Pahoa’s original clay sculptures. In the Waialua Sugar Mill on the north shore of Oahu, Pahoa’s original color schemes are hand painted by skilled Hawaiian artisans. American made, high grade 1/8” float mirror is hand cut and installed. The cast material is a composite of resin, calcium-carbonate, and lightweight silica spheres; a true environmentally safe mix. Hand painting is done with non-toxic acrylic paints.
